13:00 to 16:30 on all dates. Trainees must attend all four sessions to complete the course.

Practice Nurses and Registered Nursing Associates
Course Aims:
To help Practice Nurses new to
this clinical area in primary care to be able to offer a complementary/support
contraceptive/reproductive health service with their more experienced
colleagues and to give them a solid platform in which then to further their
knowledge and expertise by undertaking more advanced training if they wish.
Learning Outcomes for the course:
To help raise awareness of
developments in and up to date information about contraception with increased
knowledge on QOF points
Knowledge of all methods of
contraception with specific development in skills of delivering emergency
contraception
Enable discussion of all
methods with patients
To help general contraceptive
consultations and history taking
Specific development in
skills of delivering the repeat prescription scenario*
Feel confident in giving
regular depo-provera injections and giving appropriate advice*
Understand the importance of
a good referral pathway for all methods
Allows discussion of relevant
practice problems and their solutions

expected that you will attend the session virtually from a quiet location at
which you will not be disturbed, and it is
essential that you have access to a microphone and
camera on your device. Every delegate
must have their own device to use throughout this session. This is a requirement for attending this
interactive course.

This course is being run as an online training course. Details of how to join the meeting will be emailed to delegates closer to the event.

recognisable as the name on your booking. If we cannot identify
delegates they may not be admitted to the session, or certificates may not be
issued after the event.
