Devon QOF Study Day - 21st January 2026. 12:00 to 17:00.
Hosted by Sarah Cousins and Dr James Boorer.
Exeter Court Hotel, Kennford, Exeter. EX6 7UX
The Learning and Development Centre is delighted to be hosting this Devon QOF Study Day, supported by an array of expert speakers who have been coordinated and will be chaired by Sarah Cousins and Dr James Boorer.
Following the success of the Devon Digital Conference in June, the Learning and Development Centre is now planning a QOF Study Day for Devon General Practice colleagues. This event will focus on helping practices make the most of their clinical systems to achieve QOF targets, with practical hints and tips shared throughout the day.
The Study Day will once again be organised by a working group of colleagues who are actively involved in General Practice and understand the daily challenges faced by surgeries. This will be a highly valuable and engaging day away from practice.
INTRODUCTION by Dr James Boorer:
"We are missing out on thousands of
pounds in QOF income! At my practice, despite a younger patient population we
have above average prevalence of CVD meaning we are probably better than most
practices at coding. Even so we have identified under coding of CVD by
about 1.3% of our total capitation. Each patient where we resolve this
coding is worth about £50 in QOF subject to hitting our targets / applying
exemptions. For the average practice with 10K patients this equates to
missing QOF income of ~£6700. My presentation will advise practices on
how to find these missing patients and boost income."
