Course Aim:
By the end of this workshop delegates should have improved their understanding
of medical terminology and the systems within the body. They should be
able to use this knowledge at work to enhance their understanding of terms and
abbreviations which in turn will increase effectiveness and job satisfaction.
Course Objective:
To learn more about the more common medical terms with a basic
understanding of anatomy linked to systems within the body.
Learning Outcomes:
Break down medical terminology
into suffixes, prefixes and root words to understand the meaning
Decipher what area of the body the
term relates to
Utilise this knowledge at work
with enhanced understanding of terms and abbreviations.
This workshop is limited to 20 delegates.
There is a Workbook which accompanies this course and there is information within that that will support delegates' learning. This will be distributed to delegates prior to the course.
