Kathy Deakin

I joined Learning and Development Centre at the start up in 2016 as Programme Administrator, then Work Experience Manager.  I am currently employed as Finance Manager for 2 days a week.

I live in Cornwall, just outside of St Mellion with my partner, a total empty nester but still have great contact with all my five children and 9 grandchildren who all still live in Plymouth area.

I love helping out with charity events and raising much needed funds for local and national charities. I like to keep myself fit and healthy and walk rather than drive at every opportunity.

I have been carrying out administration and financial roles over 37 years in various organisations and have been working within the NHS for nearly 6 years.  In my current role I keep track of all the various projects finances and provide financial reports to the lead of the project. 

I am a Mental Health Champion, First Aider and an Ambassador for Proud to Care.
